Team Liberty Power Suit Training Manual Series Chapter 0: Introduction and Basics Congratulations, Agent. Through our rigorous selection process, you have been selected to partake in Team Liberty’s brand new Power Suit Operations Unit. Through this training course, you will learn the proper function of your assigned Power Suit, including its strengths, its weaknesses, and its optimal operation conditions. It is imperative that you dedicate your full focus to this training regime to avoid any of the common pitfalls that befall users of your particular Suit Type. Strap in, and we’ll begin with the basics. Each of the eighteen Power Suit Types operates on one basic principle: Allowing a human operator to function in the same capacity as a Pokémon of the given Type, providing them access to the same strengths, weaknesses, and attacks of that Type. You may be wondering, “How could such a thing be possible?” The answer is quite simple. Power copied from Pokémon of the specified Type is taken by, condensed into, and contained within a Type Core. When connected with a specially-designed external skeleton, the Power Suit bridges the Type Core with the operator, forming a connection that allows the operator to pull energy from the Type Core and channel it through the Power Suit proper. This connection also changes the elemental composition of the Power Suit itself, providing it with the specified Type’s defensive advantages and shortcomings. Each Power Suit is also equipped with a custom-made Power Module, a piece of equipment that effectively functions as the Suit’s unique ability. The end result is a singular human unit capable of battling alongside their Pokémon teammates. Operation of the Power Suits is highly psionic by design, reducing the need for manual input and allowing for more effective use of precious time in high-danger situations. That said, moves can be activated through a mixture of verbal, mental, or physical command, depending on user preference. Each Power Suit is equipped with a Heads-Up Display (HUD) that constantly displays and/or highlights the following information: - Allied units (human and Pokémon)
- Enemy units
- Neutral/civilian units
- Active comm. links
- Power Suit operational power
- Power Suit damage status
- Integrated moves
- Optimal/suggested moves
- Power Module status/availability
Thorough understanding of the HUD and how to utilize the Power Suit interface is imperative in effective use of the Power Suits. In a high-intensity battle, you will not often get the chance to casually scroll through every available option. Learning when to trust the HUD and when to deviate could be the difference between your victory, and the death of your team. In your training, we will examine and demonstrate how to make the most of the HUD, in order to get the most out of the Power Suit itself. Now that the basics have been established, let us look into the specific Power Suit to which you have been assigned.
