Rules and Guidelines
Before posting or submitting anything on the Rise of the Rockets forums, please be sure to thoroughly review the following rules and guidelines. Any points of confusion can be run by me for clarification, either in a new topic, through Discord, or PM.
1. Respect each other. This forum is based on a game. Tempers flare--I get that--but you should never degrade, insult, or make fun of anyone on this site, and especially not badmouth them behind their back. If what you're saying starts to bother whoever it's directed at, you need to apologize.
2. Respect the Staff. I don't just mean me, but everyone who has or does (now or in the future) work on any sort of moderating/admin level for the RPG. You can disagree with a decision and bring up concerns to us, but do it respectfully.
3. Respect Rise of the Rockets. This RPG has been running since 2010, and as such it has a pretty rich and colorful history. Those of us who are still around were much younger back then, so of course not everything from way back when is going to be super logical or well-written--nor, frankly, will some more recent happenings. Still, the RPG is what it is, and there are strong emotional ties to much of what has happened in it. Don't be a jerk if you find something you don't like.
4. Intolerance will not be tolerated. Whether over race, religious preference, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, or a similar quality or belief, discrimination of any sort is not acceptable and will be dealt with accordingly.
5. No flaming. No trolling. No spamming. If you want to get mad at someone, take it up with them, but don't be harsh about it. Likewise, don't try to drag people into arguments just for the sake of argument. It's unnecessary. Spamming speaks for itself.
6. Try to be mature with humor. Crass, offensive, or just plain juvenile toilet humor doesn't have a place here.
7. No pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, or objectifying material. There may be a bit of a gray area in actually writing, but for the most part, these don't have a place on the forums, especially explicit images--some of us come on here at work or in public. There's a NSFW channel on the Discord where you can put that stuff.
8. Religious and political conversation should be kept to private channels. Not everyone wants to be involved in them.
9. Have fun. Again, this is a game. Again, people have emotional ties to things and sometimes tempers flare--but it's a game. It's here for your enjoyment.
