Username: Parugi
Name: Markus Aleivy
--Alias: Goldhawk
Faction: Team Liberty; Leader
Hometown: Goldenrod City, Johto
Age: 36 (b. April 3rd, 1981)
--Died: August 8th, 2017
Appearance: Goldhawk stood at 5'11" and weighed about 163 lbs. Lean but strong, and quick on his feet. Goldhawk's features were sharp and angular, serving as part of his inspiration for his nickname; his expression was often stoic, lending even further to comparisons between him and a hawk. His eyes were a striking, bright blue. He had light blond hair, spiked and feathery. His outfits tended to consist of black clothing, accented by a signature, golden jacket.
Personality: Goldhawk's exterior was cold, methodical, and deeply grounded in his morals. Having been at the forefront of the resistance against Team Rocket since their takeover, he had plenty of time to hone his leadership abilities, pairing them well with the combat and tactical abilities he picked up during his run for the title of League Champion in his youth. With this combination of areas of knowledge, he proved an effective leader of Team Liberty for many years, directing and advising their agents on dozens of successful operations. His abilities and the general mystique surrounding him cultivated a reputation of deep respect within Team Liberty in the later years of the war.
For those who managed to work their way beneath the surface, Goldhawk proved to be a conflicted individual. His sense of duty--the need he felt to save the world from Team Rocket's forceful takeover--often stood at odds with the value he placed on human life. Though he did his best to ensure the safety of his agents, the loss of life on the field of battle weighed heavy on him, and this only grew worse as time went on. As the war developed and even worse tragedies unfolded--betrayal by supposed allies, the appearance of even greater foes, and especially the death of Bluefalcon and others close to him--Goldhawk found his judgment and sense of trust become gradually more clouded. Despite his efforts, he ultimately could not adapt to the scale of threat posed by Missing Zero, leading him to several decisions that ultimately placed him in the wrong place, at the wrong time.
Background: Goldhawk (real name Markus Aleivy) was born in Sunyshore City, Sinnoh, though he spent most of his younger life living in Goldenrod City, Johto. Like many, he spent much of his youth dreaming of becoming a Pokémon Trainer. At the age of 10, he set out on a journey to pursue this goal, with a Magnemite as his Starter Pokémon. On his journey, he became well-acquainted with Kane Umbra (later known as Blackskull) and Shannon Ramirez (Bluefalcon), two trainers who would quickly become both his best friends and his rivals. The three individually traveled on their journeys, building their teams and reputations in the pursuit of the title of League Champion. Goldhawk focused exclusively on raising Electric-Type Pokémon.
At the age of 15, Team Rocket enacted a forceful takeover of the Kanto Regions. Aware of their reputation as criminals, Goldhawk worked with other like-minded trainers to combat the newly-established Rocket Regime. Goldhawk was personally involved in the creation of a small resistance group called Unity, which later disbanded. At the age of 23, Goldhawk worked with Bluefalcon and Blackskull to create Team Liberty, which served as a combination of dozens of other, smaller resistance groups--and which would ultimately become the longest-lasting and most-effective force against Team Rocket. Goldhawk served as the forefront leader between himself, Blackskull, and Bluefalcon. Over the next eight years, he participated in, led, and advised dozens of operations.
Goldhawk was involved in a number of important events starting from the beginning of the RPG. The announcement of Operation R.A.L.L.Y. was done primarily by Goldhawk. He was later involved in the Battle of Four Island when Team Rocket launched a full-scale assault against Team Liberty. He personally witnessed John Ford's direct attack against the Alamo, as well as Blackskull's supposed death at the hands of Nine. Goldhawk encountered Buzz and Ace in Orre, witnessing the latter's death at the former's hands. After Silvermind's failure to retaliate against Team Rocket and her subsequent capture, Goldhawk recruited the help of Soil Colossus, Inc.--a decision that he soon came to regret when they betrayed Team Liberty. He led the negotiations that resulted in Team Liberty's alliance with Bounty, working with him to combat the Ancient Darkrai, and after their defeat, agreed to a ceasefire with Team Rocket proper.
On July 31st, 2017, Goldhawk led a team of agents to Two Island, in pursuit of John Ford. As a combined group of Liberty, Rocket, and other trainers went directly after Ford, Goldhawk's team remained outside. They bore witness to the explosion of light that deactivated Pokémon powers, as well as the second one that brought them back. Later, Goldhawk witnessed via video feed the hatching of Missing Zero into the world. Working with several others, Goldhawk recognized the danger posed to Three Island and put together a team of agents to combat Missing Zero, utilizing the Power Suits created by Executive Meghan Vert. En route, they were directed instead to One Island, as Missing Zero had changed its trajectory. While they stalled Missing Zero, the remaining inhabitants of the island evacuated. Goldhawk came into conflict with the revived Wrath; at a critical moment in the battle, his suit mysteriously deactivated, allowing Wrath to hit him with a point-blank fire attack.
Though he was brought back to Four Island and placed into critical care, Goldhawk's life came to an end on August 8th, 2017, allegedly from complications caused by the injuries from Wrath.
