Name: Selene Ashera
--Alias: Silvermind
Faction: Team Liberty; Leader
Hometown: Fight Area, Battle Frontier, Sinnoh
Age: 25 (b. January 15th, 1992)
Appearance: Silvermind is a physically fit young adult with red hair and brown eyes, standing about 5'7" and weighing around 130 lbs. She tends to wear modest clothing, though does not favor any particular outfit--her main concern is appearing professional, first and foremost.
Personality: Growing up at the battle frontier of Sinnoh, Silvermind learned much about strategy, and as such she tries to think as many steps ahead as possible in any given situation. She tends to be down to earth when discussing strengths and weaknesses: All of her Pokemon have valuable niches strategically, and she will use their strengths to her team's advantage. She is certainly most comfortable in conversation when it comes to the topic of battle--this is where you will find her at her most open, friendly, and helpful. Outside of this topic, she is more abrasive and short, often coming off as ill-tempered. While her loyalties and sense of duty are certainly in the right place, she has garnered a reputation for being hotheaded, rash, and occasionally misguided in her attempts to uphold her particular ideals. This is no better exemplified than with Team Rocket--even with the ceasefire and the rise of stronger, more worrisome enemies, Silvermind has remained hostile and suspicious toward Team Rocket, straining relationships with their leaders during a time that many would argue necessitates cooperation above all else.
Background: Silvermind (born Selene Ashera) grew up in the Battle Frontier, where she received her Starter, a Chimchar that she named Sun. In her early life, her education heavily emphasized the importance of strategy, a skill that she took to heart and fully embraced with the rise of Team Rocket. She was an early member of Team Liberty, and over time secured an Executive of Strategy position, which led to her promotion to Leader of Team Liberty when Bluefalcon was killed during the Battle of Four Island. During her time as Executive, Silvermind led a breeding program that led to Team Liberty acquiring a large number of Bagon and Gible; many of these were killed during the Battle of Four Island, but the dozen or so that remained were deemed viable and allocated to various Liberty Agents. The breeding programs continued after the Alamo was repaired. She also planted dozens of seeds of rebellion within Hoenn, empowering and inspiring numerous sects of the population; during the Battle of Four Island, Silvermind used the opportunity to activate a mass rebellion within the region, effectively overthrowing Team Rocket there and, by proxy, discrediting Ace, leading to her death by Buzz.
One of Silvermind's first operations as Liberty Leader was the failed retaliatory attack against Team Rocket's Paradise facility, where Team Liberty was betrayed by Lt. Surge, Sabrina, and Koga. This resulted in Silvermind's capture. A second assault assisted by Soil Colossus, Inc. led to her acquisition by said company, who used the leverage of their hostage to force Teams Rocket and Liberty on a joint mission to Unova in order to capture a Manaphy. This mission was also overturned by the surprise appearance of Team Magma, who captured the Manaphy and traded it for Silvermind, finally returning her to Team Liberty in order to secure an alliance with Goldhawk. Though she was humiliated and soured by the experience, Silvermind remained in place as one of Team Liberty's leaders.
Silvermind took part in the operation to subdue Lt. Surge, Koga, and Sabrina when they resurfaced in Cianwood City, Johto. There, Team Liberty encountered Esen Windred, the daughter of Shadow Admin Ace. Though Esen was hostile toward Silvermind, the Liberty Leader became intrigued by the idea of recruiting the Shadow Admin's child to Liberty, and convinced her to come to Four Island. After becoming aware of Esen's plans to go to Kalos, Silvermind tasked Kyle Eston to travel with her and fully convince her to join Team Liberty--all but blackmailing him to do so.
While not present during the events that culminated in Missing Zero's arrival, Silvermind played a part in the combined Rocket-Liberty meetings to determine their course of action. She was a proponent of using the Power Suits against Missing Zero while Pokémon powers were deactivated, and served as a monitor from Four Island during the operation. She was the first to be informed of Goldhawk's death after the end of the mission, and worked with Meghan Vert to place the blame for his demise on James Arthur.
